Exactly two months ago I posted about US orphan oncology drug specialist, Pharmacyclics.
At the time, the company was capitalised at $9 billion, having grown from a market cap of $16 million in 2009.
Today it was announced that AbbVie has successfully outbid other pharmas, including Johnson & Johnson, to acquire Pharmacyclics.
The cost to AbbVie was $21 billion.
