Hi Kingpin. I understand the difficulty of older people getting employment, hence the reference to age discrimination being entrenched. I also agree the CPI is not reflective of the true increase in cost of living pressures. That is why it should continue to be linked to average weekly wages growth. To pay for it and make our welfare system more sustainable in the long run, the middle class needs to be weaned off welfare payments.
