April 10 (Bloomberg) -- Copper and zinc rose to records in London and nickel climbed to the highest in 17 years as investment funds bought industrial metals on expectations of supply shortfalls.
Copper for delivery in June advanced as much as $185, or 3.2 percent, to $5,910 a metric ton and traded at $5,895 as of 8:40 a.m. local time on the London Metal Exchange. Zinc rose as much as $79, or 2.8 percent, to $2,890. Nickel added as much as $675, or 4 percent, to $17,525 a ton.
