Over the past couple of months there has been some discussion about the Sirflox trial and whether it is blinded or not.
I have it on reasonable authority (someone who was close to the original protocol) that it is a randomized trial, but NOT blinded. Happy to be corrected if anyone has some definitive view to the contrary.
Assuming my assertion is correct, then any oncologist with a reasonable amount of patients in the trial over the last couple of years would have a view as to how good or not the SRX treatment is.
Assuming some of these dudes actually speak to each other at conferences or social events they may have a larger picture.
Ergo - there are a good few folks out there that have a reasonably educated guess of how good SRX treatment is. I'd be surprised in the large funds have not tapped various contacts, and have built up their own view.
It could of course still be a bad result!
