MrGordon, the works and claims of Tatian, a second century Christian, prove nothing. He was just another apologist working with, and interpreting the works of earlier writers. None of whom had direct and personal experience with the personages and events described in both the gospels and large collection apochryphal works...all of which is based on hearsay which had spread by word of mouth.
And as I mentioned earlier, the earliest written accounts being the letters of St Paul...who, oddly, fails to mention any of the events that are described in later material. It's as if details had been added with the passing of time in order to flesh out the story and build the Legendary figure of the GodMan along the lines of Dionysus, which share many of the elements described in the gospels..
