Progression free survival suggests there are two aspects that need to be met - 1. you survive, and 2. the liver metastases has to stay about the same or shrink.

In hindsight - seems like this was massively overvalued, as Sirflox is dealing with a cancer that has spread - in this case mainly or only to the liver - but you might expect once metastases has taken place, that there might be cancer colonies all over the place. So seems to me hoping for PFS while only treating the liver, and having standard chemo for the rest, would be very low odds - you would think. That is the way I read it.
