As at the date of the 2013 Annual Report, total parent company assets were $82m, of which $79m were current assets. (p.72).

Total consolidated cash and cash equivalents were $436m, so the balance of cash and cash equivalents not held at the parent level was $357m.

In regard to the total book value, I can't see where you got your parent company figure from. p.45 of the AR shows Total Parent Entity Interest in Equity of $845m. p.71 gives the weighted avg number of shares as 1,095,528,617. This gives parent interest in equity per share of approximately $0.77.

I think a sum of the parts market valuation is probably a better way to value UOS components, but this is the "book value" type valuation as I see it.
