You would think this will be the catalyst or Kar to change business models. It only makes sense to keep dropping holes if there is prospect for an asset to be long life or in the top quartile on cost curve given POO.
Prospectively they have neither now.
Much smarter to look to acquire producing assets at cheap prices which is what the market is currently offering up.
Whether that suits management style remains to be seen.
