I think they know what they have is very valuable and they want to have some level of input into how it is ultimately commercialised. Better to control the sale process and state your objectives rather than being knocked over cheap before you can fly anywhere. Management have long thought that they have a good product. I am surprised to see them spruiking it so publically. Washer would look like a goose if none of this comes off.
Also ... why are pattos selling ... that's cause for some concern imv ... they are rarely left holding the bag.
