Agreed rabbitoh. I am a member and go to most of the games but the cost and quality of food at Homebush is rubbish and I rarely buy something at the ground. Although the meals and value as an ANZ Stadium member arent bad. eg you can buy a bottle of premium beer for around $7 or 8 (still exy) but in the outer its $6.50 for a plastic cup of mid strength that tastes ordinary. The last 2 weeks crowds were poor. I think the average punter is struggling with high rents, big mortgages and the general high cost of living in Australia especially Sydney. Going to the footy is a luxury when you can watch it for free at home or at a venue with foxtel No tolls, no parking and no traffic etc etc. Horse racing has been dealing with this for years and all they have done is try and make a race meeting a drunken night club. I wonder what the NRL people will do and do they care?
