Spark New Zealand issues NZ$100 million, seven year domestic notes

Spark New Zealand Limited has today announced that Spark Finance Limited (a
wholly owned subsidiary) intends to issue NZ$100 million of domestic notes to
institutional investors. The notes will mature in March 2022 and pay a coupon
of 4.50%.

The proceeds of the notes will be used to refinance debt and for general
corporate purposes.
