First thing I had to do was say sorry to NC for stalking him so much but I have to follow on from a few points that you have made in your post. I to was always concerned about the amount of work he puts on himself, but I am now left with only one word to describe him MACHINE !!!... and your right great guy to boot
I spoke to a stockbroker who had backed NC some years ago, his comment to me was "everything that lad touches turns to gold".... what a statement to make from a Stockbroker.
He also said "this whole journey is amazing. Can you believe this one guy took a company going nowhere, and when he took it on it was 4c and he is turned it into what it is today... I never started backing the company, I backed the bloke" ..... That last comment resinated with me... I spent only a little time talking to NC about NC...I found out again from the other guy, that NC was responsible for billions of dollars of funding in M&A for projects and companies world wide...INCREDIBLE...
For those of us that were there, I think we underestimated exactly who we have steering this ship, and I understand your point Pinto about the calming force of the board with a guy thats 1000 miles per hour, but holy Sh&IT, NC rules the roost and I would not want to get on his bad side...Even when slightly challenged last night by one person, he was stead fast and unwavering and he wouldn't not of backed down and when he was challenged the response he gave was clear (even to a dope like me). The calming force force of his fellow board member was simply to re state NC response and move it on.
NC is a seriously smart cookie and now (having been told by that stockbroker) that I know a bit, this is a dynamic guy that knows his Sh*it better than any of us ever will. At 41 being a young CEO, you may be right, but he has done things and been responsible for things that some CEO's in their 50's would only just be grappling with.....
My final thing I would say is for a guy who has created something awesome out of nothing, he is the most modest guy in that type of role I have met... When i told him my average you should have seen his face light up!! I actually think he teared up a bit ... He genuinely was so happy to hear my success.... and Im sorry one other thing which I found out from the broker which reinforces NC modesty...the MACHINE completed a PhD in managment in December of last year !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With everything he has accomplished, he found time to do that..... MACHINE !!!!
He is one smart guy, and am I an NC groupie.... you bloody bet I am, and I have been criticised by some for being one to much, but the broker said it well "I backed the bloke" and thats what those guys do. I hope he never goes, but where ever he ends up, I'll follow.
