Worldwide Cancer Research is a charity which funds cancer research in some of the world's leading research institutions. I guess the name is self-explanatory. What does need to be explained, however, is that it has provided a 3 year grant to Dr Laura Soucek whose group developed the myc-blocking protein fragment called omomyc.
"Unfortunately, omomyc is not able to get into cancer cells easily, a crucial property that any cancer drug must have. Laura Soucek in acknowledging the assistance of Worldwide Cancer Research writes;
"In science we move all the time. We go wherever the science takes us - wherever we need to go to make steps forward in our research."
It appears the science may well have moved to Perth.
