profanity filter: patience, please, page-13

Yes, I had quite a lot to do with programmers back to 1970, the early days.

I could program in Basic but was allocated a programmer who knew some languages and was very good.

As the User, I had to take the responsibility as to the presentation. Because some of these were research jobs, there was no room for error. All results were thoroughly checked out before using the programs live.

"Comparisons" are common in programming and this Profanity filter is a case in point. So, the programming is relatively easy: Compare words as a *whole*.

Later on, another programmer assisted; he could serve as a systems analyser as well. Very good work again.

I really enjoyed working with them,

    Gerry
