Think Fascism - remember it was the Nazi's funding of the Muslim Brotherhood in its early days from the 1920's through to and well into WW2 that gave them the power they exert today.

Not a huge amount of difference between Mussolini, another jumped up Fascist leader who came from nowhere to emerge in his dictatorial Fascist guise and many Muslim country's dictatorial monsters we see today. Saudi Arabia and Bahrain seem to be the worst of a bad bunch though, and they are both supported by the West.
