Cost and profit shifting is what we are trying to eliminate. Taxing revenue happens before any cost is manipulated or profit determined.

Taxing debit accounts sounds very, very encouraging imo.

another plus is such a tax cover illegal and prurient activities...many trips to the cat house, dope purchases etc financed by a debit from an account
