It appears you actually enjoy bantering each other, otherwise you would not reply to each other.
Friendly banter is a good thing, it lightens up the day, but it appears you want a "divorce".

You don't need a button to do that, just make a mental decision to not reply to one another for a temporary " separation" to see if you miss one another.

If you miss one another, then you must be polite and use good manners to confirm the relationship.

I am sure your neighbours and I will be happy with what ever decision you both make to get a Peacefully and Tranquil Neighbourhood again.
