Nothing simple about destroying shareholder value and their balance sheet, "even if they can" and FMG cannot.

I'm glad that FMG can't, why follow the pack that's heading back to school for a refresher course in economics 101, sooner rather than later.

They are running a public company not a kindergarten, "ha ha I told you so, mines bigger than yours" mentality.

If the experts are calling it stupid and dumb and estimating that they are wiping 5.00% a year of their capital, who am I to argue about his fact, and that free cash flow generated is now not enough to meet dividend payments, I suppose that is a great results for their shareholders.

Sam W. and Andrew M, are CEO's with a "can" do attitude, lose billions "just because they can", great management skills, worthy of being joint winners of the, Business Leader of the Year Award.

The best thing that could happen to BHP/RIO is for the CEO's to resign, or the board to sack them unless they are happy to lose billions and generate less than the required amount to maintain dividends.

From what I understand most shareholders that have BHP/RIO in their portfolio, prefer a dividend rather than massaging, Sam's & Andrew M's ego.

Not all companies, not even the great BHP and RIO, are not prone to make huge blunders, RIO bought Alcan and blew over $30.0b, I suppose your view is, "RIO lost this money just because it could"
