It WAS our grandchild! Went from OK one day to autistic the next - literally - day after a triple antigen booster - Mum, a health care professional herself, had always ensured the vaccinations were done separately - she was ill that day - s0 Dad took the child - and, unwittingly, child got the combo triple.

This is no figment of anyone's imagining - no made up yarn. Seeing this child almost every day - and his Mum, (NO rebel) - is totally emphatic. As are we all. He went, immediately, from verbal, to mute. Thanks to early intervention "angels" at a remedial school - he's now high functioning and doing well in main stream school.

Her friend, also a health professional, expereinced exactly the same with her daughter. An overnight effect. Which later destroyed her marriage.

Instead of the sneering at the anti-lobby - Government should be ensuring more monies are directed at autism and it's causes and remedial supports, (now scarce and difficut to access -early diagnosis vital (but not happening) - for such agonised parents. Very often, it's the concentrated love and devotion of affected parents which results in vast improvements with regard to affected children's future life prospects.

These women are no loonies - no ranters and ravers - NOT strange. No agendas - no banners to wave. They know - they experienced it - they tell it like it is. Truth.

Don't want to panic anyone. But this is a democracy. People will seemingly not listen to ANY arguments - talk back radio hosts know best - in their patronisingly arrogant "expertise" - so they MUST be right. And so people are to be financially penalised. I strongly object to this position that Abbott and Morrison are taking! I am writing to tell them so. Meanwhile radio hosts should stop trying to pretend they're experts on everything! Being totally rude to anyone who calls daring to give a dissenting opinion.

My opinion - Proceed with caution - ask questions - get separated vaccinations where possible - and - here's the rub - vaccinated children are protected anyway from floating germs - whether they be "on" unvaccinated children - or abroad, in the air. This is a very tough and contenious issue, I of course allow.
All our own kids were vaccinated.
