Brucey, what Isis did there went beyond murder and destruction. Nimrud was bad, but the people.....they had kept alive christianity as it was 2 thousand years ago and still used the original Armenian language....they were living treasures who died for their faith. I think there, too, ISIS gave the choice of "convert or die", so they indeed died for their faith. Awesome.
Surely ISIS deserve a divine retribution for their actions? Would love to see it happen.
re " we (the west) need to take the middle eastern christians examples and apply them in our own life."
I agree there from what I have seen. The "devotion" of many here appears very superficial. When young, I used to go to church every Sunday .....and noted that those who hung their heads the lowest, beat their breasts the hardest, put the largest denomination note in the collection plate with a flourish that could not be overlooked, were the biggest thieving, wife beating fornicators you could imagine...in between Sundays , of course....and I stopped attending.
If one had walked down the rows with a pump action asking each in turn if they were ready to meet Jesus, I bet the replies would have been 100% "No, not today".
Brucey, I'm afraid He is not going to come in our time. The AntiChrist has to finish his work first.
