Many people in this forum believe that the company "global healthcare company" referred to as "POC1" by ADO that it has been working with, and that it recently had signed an expanded agreement with is Philips.
This is based on a range of coincidences such as:
- the description of POC1 as a company with revenues of around $10bn in 2013, which is coincidentally is the same as what Philips reported
- ADO stating the initial application is in 'critical care - cardiac function'
- ADO stating the device being six years in development (same timeline as minicare)
- ADO stating the target timeframe for launch is 2015, which is again coincidentally the same as Philips' device.
There are more 'coincidences', but these were just the main ones I could easily refer you to as they are all in ADO's statements in slide ten of a recent presentation here. You can then compare that to what Philips has been saying about its Minicare device.
Of course... it is still possible that this is all just a coincidence right?
How many other global healthcare companies with revenues of 10bn euro, with a device six years in development, with a target launch of 2015, focused on cardiac are there? All just a coincidence possibly...
