I have spent a lot of time in Cambodia organising cycling tours over the last few years.
Fantastic country, wonderful people, amongst the most welcoming of any I have met.
All people fleeing for their lives from oppressive regimes (as we know all asylum seekers are) will be welcomed. The abhorrent fairly recent history of Cambodia means that virtually all Cambodian families suffered from the tyranny of Pol Pot and have genuine sympathy from those fleeing a similar plight.
The lack of a developed social security structure means that all migrants will be expected to work for a living but who would want not to?
