As you might imagine Redbacka I've had many big wins and likewise many more errors of judgement . It was the 90's I believe , earlyish nineties . I took a large parcel in a placement of a stock called secure network solutions at 20c . I absolutely loved this stock ,they had they key to banking security. I watched them go to 35c or so ,kept adding and at that time not being the calm and reasoned person that I am now really saw a market downturn in the wind and decided in a lightbulb moment to get out of any speculative stocks.

I read the market perfectly ,specs got trashed , Snx was back in single figures ,I was congratulating myself on how smart I was ,but I was always going to buy them back . I could have millions of them now.

To cut a long story short I never got back in . They took off not all that long after and ended up at around $18 odd as I kept waiting for a pullback . It may have been the lead up to dot com . I've tried to forget the gory details

I can't tell anyone how much that cost me because they'll think I'm romancing ,but I had quite a large parcel . It was a fortune.

So lesson learnt . Ever since that time I've never bought or sold stocks based on the market ,I buy and sell them based on the stock.

My best ,there have been many ,but the only ones that really stick in my mind are the stinkers ,and that was my biggest stinker
