Certainly hope not, Jack, but what you say certainly could happen in Australia, sigh.

However, I'm sure the article said that the guy was believed to be in the US.......so, about now he would have been recruited, wearing a dark suit & shades, and working for the NSA or CIA... The Yanks recognise talent when they see it.

A lot of computer wizards used to be hackers in their younger days, and a support guy for a certain antivirus was no exception. He was telling me that they used to hack into Pine Gap, among other places, and were contacted and warned off. The exceptional hackers were recruited and given jobs there. Lets hope this guy is rewarded for his skill and ingenuity.
