    Actually we had vaccines before 1796 by the Chinese, but anyway. I was trying to get the point across that before it was officially classed as "autism" it was more than likely around for hundreds of years before then and not recognised because people were ignorant to the condition.

    Also by what you said we should have had cases of autism for over 100 years before it was officially named because you thought the first vaccines were in 1796. So why did we not have autism until 1900? Because doctors didnt recognise autism or class it as a condition at the time therefore it may have been around for a lot longer than it has been officially, ie. Well before vaccines.
