In the modern Labor Party, one which I voted for quite a few times under Hawke and Keating, anything is possible.

Look at their progression post Beazley - who I believed was a genuinely good man but not a leader.

People like Slugger Latham, Crean [a good man who got shafted], Rudd, Gillard, Shorten ...... it must be a case of despair for Labor reformists. It is a tragedy for the once great Party I have voted for multiple times to be in a "Back to the Future" scenario where they are kowtowing to unions. I remember Hawke taking them on....

The ALP needs reform urgently so it become an alternate government. A Party who are economic rationalists not frootloops like the present lot.
