The discretionary powers of the Minister are set apart from the judiciary. CAZ will object as is their right after which the decision will be reviewed. Otherwise, CAZ holders could instigate class action against CAZ itself - and who would want that? BHP will duck and cover now - only hope is Twiggy for CAZ - if he sells, CAZ, perhaps, even as a long term entity, is finished.
IMO, CAZ will not appeal as the mechanisms of appeal are very grey, if there at all.
I would have thought there would have been negotiation but no, RIO wins the race as the discretionary powers of the Minister are pretty much final.
Review, object and jump and down as shareholders. Organise, seek FOI, ombudsman etc etc. One can try - seek legal opinion and contact your local MP for further advice.
