As my last birthday was my 45th, I really started paying attention to what I need to do to get to retirement and then get through retirement.. It kind of crystallised when I played golf with my son a few Sundays ago - and I thought that this is what MY retirement would look like..
Reading this kind of state-organised theft of my future is really starting to get under my skin. Can't say what I really want to as I don;t want to be barred from HC, but holy crap, this is getting all too ridiculous isn't it? Robbing those that are actively ensuring they won't be a burden on the public purse to help those that are is just never going to work...
Let THEM work for it:
THEY want parenting payments? Sure, you get it for the first 2 kids only.
THEY want unemployment? Sure, volunteer at your kids' school a day a week. Be a carer for a day a week..
THEY want youth allowances? Sure, start working on an education. Full time is about 15 hrs a week these days.
WE should all be pulling together, then why does it seem to be only those with a will to produce?
The list is endless of examples where those that don't want to contribute to the system, but have no problem taking from the system and at what point does it stop? The handout lines are getting longer and longer and we have no Leadership from either side as to the "big picture".. Politics by headline is killing this country.
I'm off to my accountant to talk about those Family Trusts...
