I have never heard anyone call the campaign as anything other that a giant cock-up. What has that got to do with ANZAC day? In a perverse way, the fact that we are not celebrating a great victory makes it more poignant, it makes it what it is, a day to remember the men not the war. It is BECAUSE it was such non-event strategically that it should be easily accepted by all. I believe opposition is ideological, not logical.
