They where kids - kids do stupid things - would of they kept doing it ? Who knows that question will never will be answered.
The one thing for certain though is that the drug trade would of continued regardless - mules are nothing in the scheme of things.
These guys have been in prison for 10 years how's the drug trade in Australia looking these days ? from all reports it's at epidemic proportions in recent years.
The target needs to be reducing the demand and the amount of drug users in society targeting the drug problem itself.
Guarantee from the day these two where arrested there would of been other people moving through with drugs - each and every day the amount they were moving was grains of sand against the total drug trade each year.
Side note - I still don't see how people view draconian executions as a greater punishment for a crime - it's the easy way out for offenders - executed and it's all over in the blink of an eye - locked up in a cell people must spend their time confined to a tiny room and serve their punishment..
