Feedback I'm getting from the Bowen Basin is that WDS were meant to finish this job in Dec '15, latest projection at current rates is a demob in early '17, LDs on their contract start in early '16 plus much of the Principal's contribution to overheads (accommodation, equipment operating costs, utilities) stops in early '16.
Add all this together plus account for the increasingly difficult logistics and reduced efficiencies as the tunnels get deeper, also their equipment having to be in service for a year longer than predicted with associated higher running costs = higher costs per metre and reduced income per metre = WDS will be losing money each day they are on site for almost a year to complete this project. Not a great scenario.
