Yes, and they very much understand that to maintain that, indeed to transition to a predominantly domestic market, they need to be economic at each step of the value chain. Compounded by the necessity to both modernise and clean up some of their legacy they very much need to move primary production to an economic footing, understand that and you understand China has no interest in "flooding the world with cheap RE". That was 1.01 in the playbook, long past.
Even Happy Jack has conceded his "Ice to Arctic" & Chinese CoP mantras of late, but then none of that would suit the undisclosed agendas of many here.
