Probably should wait until Scott Morrison releases his report next week sometime, but I am curious about what others think may be the consequences for childcare providers of the publicised (Courier Mail today) statement that "Stay-at-home mums will miss out on childcare subsidies under a new "activity test" that will direct payments to parents who are working or studying". I note that Islay has referred to this earlier in this thread, but can't see where anyone has expressed a view on how this may affect occupancy levels. Do we know how many "stay-at-home" mums may be affected? With the activity test and means test (and possibly some surprises) likely to be revealed this week it certainly is interesting times for the sector.
