Hitachi selects NetComm Wireless to deliver ICT Component of smart energy project

4 May 2015 (Sydney): Global electronics giant, Hitachi, Ltd selected NetComm Wireless Limited (ASX: NTC) to enable Hitachi’s remote energy monitoring and management systems for international customers. Designed to interoperate with mobile networks globally, NetComm Wireless' communications technology will allow Hitachi to deliver smart solutions that facilitate the efficient use of energy resources worldwide.
Hitachi selected NetComm Wireless to support its development of ICT infrastructure for the Smart Community Demonstration Project in Greater Manchester, UK. Hitachi is responsible for the design of the ICT system needed to add smart capabilities to installed heat pumps, and selected NetComm Wireless to custom design wireless communication technology that ensures the reliable and secure collection,management and analysis of energy data in real time.
