I think the thing a lot of people are uneasy about is the lack of details provided by Alexium (and likely for good reason). You must be able to understand that. People get nervous when they hear of a lot of amazing things in the pipeline, then when it comes time, announcements are light on specifics.
Obviously there are reasons for this (in both the military and commercial sectors), and it's not something I'm overly worried about, but I can understand how nervy investors might be a little jittery.
And lets all be honest, unless there is some kind of insider trading going on (which I don't for a second believe there is), we're all still holding based on
faith in AJX's product (which we know works) and management (which seem to be absolutely top notch, from what we can tell).
Because whilst important milestones are being ticked, the most important ones - sales, revenue and profit - have yet to be achieved. I have a strong belief that this is just around the corner, and all the signs point to everything being honky dory, but it hasn't happened yet.
It's still a possibility that we may not get the military contract. We may not jump into bed with Sealy (no pun intened
), that tenting contract may not be quite as significant as we all think. There is still a lot of risk involved with this company, especially if buying at this level, but as far as risk to reward - it's one of the better ones on the ASX in my humble opinion.
