Steven, your use of numbers is picky IMO. Whilst it's true NST had an AISC 0f $1172 last qtr, their YTD AISC is $1093. (The high recent numbers they state is Capital works getting to the better ore at Paulsen and Plutonic).
But as you it's the forward earnings that count. (NST's forward predictions have in the past been sound overall). Thus using forward numbers NST have forecast AISC of $1050/1100, whilst EVN have forecast $1030/1100. Quite similar. Thus the cash position difference of $300m is significant, IMO
