Heard of Pavlov's dogs? Perhaps its simply that many have been conditioned to expect or anticipate a significant retrace after a stellar share run. Imo it will be hard to have any meaningful retrace with emerging Chinese and Indian markets unlikely to turn on a dime and contract. This period and a number of yrs ahead is perhaps more akin to the very strong, bouyant post WW2 period? There are many out there on hc too proud or too sensible to call a paradigm shift .... it will all be abundantly clear in the years to come with the benefit of 20/20 hindsight.
