"Google continues to use this method (best imagery in favor of newer imagery), though I’m sure they are more cautious about adjusting imagery for sensitive areas. The imagery in the current layer is always what they consider to be the best for each area —"
Now what does Nearmap image of Auckland look like, or the state of Alaska?
Oh that's right Google Earth is global not just restricted to a few locations or on request aerial photography if you pay for it which is a service offered by plenty of companies.
Why I said there will be a market for Nearmap in Aus and US, just that Google Pro being free will take away a large portion of potential customers because the imagery available and tools is not only free but excellent and good enough for their requirements..
We will see just how good NEA revenue is in US soon enough, if they are successful then good on them glad to be wrong and hope this SP rockets for you guys and rewarded for getting in early. But I just can't see it when what is available for free is so good and dominates the market in US.
