It's an interesting story, but I can't see any reason whatsoever to believe that it's true.
Your (Waflehead's) take on God is interesting - do you really believe He is unable to "think, judge and reason" and that every occurrence in the Universe has been determined from the beginning? (I think that follows from the existence of a timeless realm (whatever that might be) in which all times are the same.) How then do we have any free will? And doesn't that excuse us from any sort of decision making or moral responsibility?
