I would not actually assume that Farjoy has bought all those 324 million shares with their money or without some "assistance". My thinking is the same as yours .. what investment manager would put so much of their money into one "speculative play" (which it was pre-drill)? That's around $25 million at Farjoy's average of a bit over 8 cents.
To my mind Tim as a lawyer as well as an investor has taken his "blocking stake" is alliance with management (and perhaps partly funded by management or those close to management). So I think they would do what ever is required to keep that blocking stake viable.
All IMHO and based on nothing but a hunch and some logical thinking.
