I'm a realist. I understand why the Kuwaitis want and need the Americans.
America is their insurance policy, their broker.
And as the insurer taking the risk, the US expects ceratin conditions to be met, and.............. an agreed excess.
Both sides know what's expected.
You don't like forking out money on insurance for your car or home, but if you need it and you want it..............you pay.
Kuwait cannot afford to be under insured.......
So, they've cut a deal they can both live with.
It has nothing to do with love...........or democracy.....It has everything to do with Kuwait's survival. Strictly business.
