Two different views - firstly sure if you can make it just 1 meal but i'd hazard a guess in more cases than not for those struggling with staying on a diet the falling out of the zone with a "sneaky cheat" brings the next one much closer or gives "excuses" to stray again from the plan. Not indifferent to somebody that "gives up" smoking then a few days or a few weeks later they think they can have "just 1" - how does that turn out 95% of the time ? Secondly it depends why you are dieting - is it to loose weight ? or is it to remove certain foods from your body because of either adverse outcomes or allergies ? if it's the later it often takes your system considerable time to completely remove those foods from your system - there's trillions of cells in the human body and it's also about the body reprogramming to work in absence of those foods or by gaining the nutrients from other foods - say for example it takes 3 months to flush the system then that "sneaky cheat" could wind you right back to the start of that 3 month period.

As always though whatever works for people - I've never had to diet for weight but I have to remove other foods from my diet.
