Shown below is a table of gold sold since start of production; the open pit ore reserve is stated as 322,000 oz; the open pit mine life was stated as 5 years; tailings dams 3 & 4 were designed for 5 years storage capacity that was before the "innocent mistake".
Only 9% of the open pit ore reserve has been used up; still 4.6 years of open pit life left according to the 2014 ore reserve statement; Mr Dumpleton any comments?
It's nice to have a beefy looking ore reserve & resource statement and it is a good selling point but is it accurate? At least the forecast for 2015 are more realistic but they are low; the old problem of silt in pit has reared it's ugly head yet again.
