It looks this way only because they're so illiquid (almost nobody is willing to sell them). While the gap as I type is 34.5 cents, you can't actually buy any at this price (58.5 cents). You'd have to fork out 68.5 cents for the cheapes ones on offer. Even then there's only $5k worth on offer.

There are times when small parcels come available at >30c but hard to snap them up!

I have owned these for 6 months or so - they are not "less risk"! If ZIP drops 10% ZIPO will drop a lot more (and be harder to offload). That said with high risk comes potential high reward.
