You have got the gist of MC -however you have got the number of share wrong.

AVQ have only 244.99 Mil shares on issue. Good place it check is the ASX Website.

Just be careful though ...for companies with significant debt or cash, MC doesn't give the real picture, and you need to use EV (Enterprise value) ...quick Google search will explain further.
