JW well said. Even if we used renewables for all new power production there would still be an increasing need for coal. I must say I am a tree hugger at heart, however I believe that Global warming is not real and a conspiracy. A good conspiracy if it makes people stop and think about not wasting what we have and being smarter about how we use it. Oh that then makes Coldry and no brainer, don't you think? Before anyone jumps on me about my Global warming statement, please DYOR, I have. Look at the history of the Earth and it's temperature trends. Yes that's right there are charts and maybe you can read them like a stock and see how the trend goes. Then you will see that Humans are not effecting the Earth anywhere near the same amount as a volcanic eruption. Anyway enough BS. I will be happy if we minimise our effect on the Earth.
