I've been to Greece three times. What many fail to see is that Greece is cornered. It's debt is owed externally and internally. It's financially hollowed out.
So Argentina defaults...no big deal
Say Greece defaults...it is a very big deal
Returning to the drachma is just going back to the ways of Greece that place it in it's present situation. Greece has also changed not only by the euro but by it's geographical position in a demographic movement.
I really hope that Greece stays in the euro but should it not then the result of leaving would be a humanitarian nightmare The politicians know that and they won't let their homeland slide into a financial and economic abyss.
There's been plenty of press for the 'Grexit' but very little on the internal consequences which are quite graphic. I find it interesting also reading these views but I get the impression that most are reading the same articles. Bad press sells.
