Oil goes up for the same reason as gold and other commodities. Why would it fall by itself?
People say "but US stockpiles are rising!".
Looked at the one year copper chart lately? It's trending up. Aluminum stockpiles are very high. And so on.
Oil will fall with everything else when credit dries up and deflation hits.
