Well, the company have made public their negotiations to acquire an "advanced" project, so I think it's a reasonable assumption that if you were committing to becoming a major shareholder, you would probably ascertain precisely what that entailed and be comfortable that it was in the bag.
GTE pulled out of the Spasskaya project because initial drilling led them to conclude it was not as "advanced" as hoped. I doubt the word is being used coincidentally again.
