If Mylan had paid for the R&D, maybe they wanted to be sure POH could not apply it to someone else's generic equivalent antibiotic. The patent should not extend past this one specific injectable. I don't see anything alarming, but every effort should be made to encourage Mylan to proceed with full scale commercialization without delay.
